Kofi A. Tawiah Foundation donates to Kandit Standard school

Quality education thrives when communities come together to support those in need.

Kandit Standard School demonstrated this through their community service project at Adzenkye M/A School as part of this year’s Kofi A. Tawiah Good Citizenship Challenge.

After identifying the inadequate teaching and learning materials, the team took action by raising funds and donating essential items, including exercise books, notebooks, pens, pencils, rulers, sharpeners, erasers, chalk, cement, teaching and learning materials (TLMs), and other important classroom supplies.

Like any other project, their initiative came with many challenges, from raising funds and gaining community support to balancing project activities with schoolwork. However, the students remained determined, worked together, and found practical ways to overcome the obstacles.

Through this initiative, the students developed important character traits such as compassion, generosity, teamwork, responsibility, honesty, leadership, patience, and gratitude. Their efforts showed that even small acts of giving can make a meaningful difference in the lives of others.

Kandit Standard School reminds us that good citizenship begins with recognising a need and being willing to take action.
